Dry Rub

Yeah, Baby!  It’s grilling time, so whip up a batch of this flavorful dry rub.  Perfect on steak, pork or chicken.

The Stuff You Need:

Makes enough for about 1 pound of meat.

1 teaspoon Chili powder

1/2 teaspoon Cumin

1/2 teaspoon Paprika (regular or smoked)

1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground Pepper

Here's How It's Done:

  1. Measure all ingredients into a small bowl.  Whisk or stir to combine.
  2. Rinse your meat and pat dry with paper towel.
  3. Rub the meat with the spice mixture until well coated, then let the meat rest on a plate until cooking time.  The longer it sits, the better the flavor.
